 Sveti Martin na Muri lies in the valley which extends between the last northern hills and the Međimurje vineyards. The municipality, which has a rich history (the old Roman town of Halicanum), a wonderful and protected landscape of the river Mura (the Regional Park Mura-Drava), numerous ethnographic events, and a wonderful spa, is enhanced by the always cheerful Međimurec (the inhabitant of the Međimurje region).
One of the local sightseeing attractions is a mill which is similar to dozens of former mills on the river Mura which were built by the local craftsmen in the previous century. As the mills disappeared, the traditional crafts of construction and maintenance of such buildings disappeared as well. The present mill was constructed in remembrance of the traditional crafts and trades.
The northernmost point is an excellent place to mark the northernmost municipality of Croatia. Rich culinary offerings, a wonderful spa, a possibility to cycle across wonderful cycling routes, boating with old wooden boats on the river Mura, presentation of old customs and crafts, and other tourist attractions will most definitely enrich your experience and memory of our area.
